Retta Ivory Bayes, age 58, a resident of Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. Retta was born June 3, 1961 in West Liberty, Kentucky the daughter of the late Mark Smith and Lurlene Adkins. Brothers, James Smith and Ricky Smith.

Funeral services for Retta Bayes will be conducted Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Jim Howard will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Garden in Staffordsville, Kentucky. The family welcome friends Tuesday, December 31, after 6:00 PM, all day Wednesday, January 1, and anytime prior to funeral services.
