Preacher’s side-by-side stolen while family is at church

For 40 years, Billy Adams has called Leslie County his home. He preaches at a local church and lives along Witt Road in the Cutshin community with his family.

Sunday, while his family was at church, and he was asleep recovering from an allergic reaction, Adams says someone stole his side-by-side from his front yard.

“For something to be taken on a day that we worship the Lord in an act of crime, it’s just, I’m still in awe, I’m still in confusion and I don’t really understand why,” Adams said.

It is a Polaris 570 four-seater side-by-side with net doors. The side-by-side has a front windshield that has “DANIELS” in red letters across it. It’s not fully paid off.

“That being said, now I’m going to have to continue to pay for it and it not be here,” he said.

He says despite his disappointment, his faith has taught him not to be angry.

“I pray for those people I really do,” Adams added.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Leslie County Sheriff’s Office. There is a $1,000 reward being offered for its return.
