Governor Beshear said Kentucky has 273 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus, the highest single-day increase yet. The state now has 2,960 total cases.

There have been 4 new deaths, bringing the total to 148 deaths. 1,122 Kentuckians have recovered.

Gov. Beshear also encouraged people to sign up for testing at four recently announced new drive-through testing sites.

One site will be in Somerset and one in Pikeville. The testing begins later this week.

Those eligible for the tests include people exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, shortness of breath and cough; health care workers and first responders who may have been exposed to coronavirus; and anyone with mild symptoms who also may have been exposed to COVID-19.
