We now have an update on a slide in Floyd County that has temporarily closed KY Route 550.

Information officer Sara George with Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12 said that crews were working until 7pm today and do not expect to finish. The slide is still currently active, which makes clearing any sort of debris that much more difficult. For that reason, road crews are leaving the road closed throughout the weekend. Due to the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, road crews are currently only working on emergencies through the weekends.
