
Officials from the Kentucky River District Health Department have announced nine new cases of COVID-19 in the region. A total of seven cases were announced by Perry County, bringing the county’s total to 13.
One new case was reported in Knott County, giving that county a total of four cases. The patient is a 76-year-old woman.
Another case was also confirmed in Leslie County, bringing their total to three. Officials said that a 72-year-old woman has the virus.
The Perry County cases were confirmed after the opening of new testing sites in the area.
