Wednesday evening, search and rescue crews were looking for five missing Amish children after their buggy overturned while fording a stream in Bath County.
The Amish family’s carriage went into a creek near Adams road in the Salt Lick community, after their horse lost its footing and slipped.
Six people were in the carriage at the time. One adult has been found alive. Troopers say five juveniles are still missing.
Crews have been searching the banks of the creek, which washed out part of the road.
Reports say that at one point there were about 35 people helping search.
As of 4am this morning, Kentucky State Police now confirm that four of the five missing children have now been found dead. Search and rescue crews are still searching for the fifth child.
