
Kentucky State Police and Search crews are still looking for remaining Amish child along creeks and streams that went missing after the family’s buggy overturned while fording a stream in Bath County, on Adams road in the Salt Lick community.
The missing child was traveling in the family’s carriage went into a creek after their horse lost its footing and slipped.
Six people were in the carriage at the time. One adult has been found alive the other four people were all children who’s bodies have since been found.
Kentucky State Police say the weather is not helping and is causing them to slow their search.
“It’s extremely muddy, the ground saturated with water, and like I said it’s starting to rise on us again so we are not only dealing with the water we are fighting with mud trying to get people in and out of the area.” said a KSP trooper.
KSP reported two crews searched throughout the night, Thursday. Scuba crews from Ashland were called in Thursday to assist, as well. The next rotation of crews were set to arrive this morning.
