
On Wednesday, Governor Andy Beshear announced that Kentucky surpassed the 7,000-case for COVID-19 benchmark during the daily news conference. Yesterday there were reported 227 new cases and five new deaths for the state. The death toll is now at 326.
At least 7,080 Kentuckians have contracted the virus. 2,649 people have recovered from the virus with 117,395 Kentuckians having received tests.
Health officials confirmed a new case in Pike County, bringing the county’s total to 20.
Two new cases were confirmed in the Kentucky River District. A 51-year-old woman from Letcher County and an 83-year-old man from Perry County. Both individuals are isolating at home.
