COVID-19 Update Recap from Monday

Kentucky is nearing 8,000 reported cases of COVID-19. During Monday’s COVID-19 Update for the state, Governor Andy Beshear announced 122 new cases from Sunday and 138 new cases on Monday. These cases brought the official count to 7,935.

Three new deaths were confirmed on Sunday and nine were confirmed on Monday. These deaths bring Kentucky’s Covid-19 death toll to 346.

At least 2,785 people have reportedly recovered from the virus. The state is also reporting that 145,238 tests have been administered.

A total of four children in Kentucky have displayed symptoms of pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome (PMIS), the rare syndrome in children believed to be related to COVID-19.

Governor Beshear announced that the Pineville Community Health Center in Bell County will open up as testing site and start testing at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
