Kentucky’s Historic Properties Advisory Commission voted on Friday to remove the statue of Jefferson Davis from the state’s capitol building.

The statue is to be relocated to Fairview, the birthplace of Davis.

The vote took place via video conference, and the motion to remove the statue was approved by a vote of 11-1.
