Officials with the Floyd County Health Department took to their Facebook page yesterday evening to announce their 27th confirmed case of Coronavirus. This person is said to have been a contact of a case from another county.

The Floyd County Health Department would also like to announce that the Department of Public Health has issued a travel advisory for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is urging anyone who has traveled there in the past two weeks to self quarantine for 14 days and self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.

Those symptoms include: cough, cold-symptoms, stomach issues, diarrhea, nausea, headache, and rash, among several others.

At minimum they are asking that those travelers avoid contact with vulnerable persons such as the elderly and anyone with significant medical problems such as diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.
