The results have been delayed because of so many mail-in absentee ballots, due to the pandemic. This election consisted of several firsts for the state, Kentucky had early voting and voters were allowed get an absentee ballot by mail.

Republican stalwarts Mitch McConnell, Hal Rogers and Brett Guthrie have breezed to their party’s nominations Tuesday night in Kentucky. Undeterred by criticism, Rep. Thomas Massie who represents the commonwealth’s 4th District, also won his nomination.
As of 9 a.m. today, 81% of precincts have reported in. Most ballots cast by voters who went to the polls in person last Tuesday have already been counted, but counties have until 6 p.m. local time tonight to report official results, which will include many thousands of absentee ballots.
