On June 29, 2020 at approximately 2pm the JCSO was dispatched to a gunshot call at Puncheon in the Sitka area of Johnson county. Upon arrival deputies found Mr. James Jason McKenzie , 44 y/o of Sitka with a gunshot wound. Mr McKenzie was transported for medical attention.

Witness statements reflect that the alleged shooter was Mr. Joshua Caudill of Stambaugh. The JCSO and KSP conducted an extensive search into the late morning hours of the 30th but have not located the subject.

Anyone with information concerning the location of Joshua Caudill is encouraged to contact the JCSO or KSP by calling 606-789-3411 or 911. Do not approach Mr Caudill. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
