Superintendent Danny Adkins announces that parents and guardians of students in Floyd County Schools can now complete most “back-to-school” paperwork online.
Adkins comments, “It’s nice to be able to talk about something that we hope will be easier for most parents. Over the years, we have heard many parents and guardians talk about the amount of paperwork that has to be filled out at the beginning of the school year and this year we have the opportunity to do something different.” Adkins continues, “This year, online registration is provided through Infinite Campus Parent Portal and eliminates the need for paper forms such as the annual enrollment form, school/district field trip permission, release agreements, etc.”
Adkins continues, “If your child is an existing student in our system, you can complete online registration in the convenience of your home through your Parent Portal. Parents will just make sure information is correct, update or complete information about every member of their household including students at other Floyd County Schools (if applicable). This means parents can complete registration for all their children at one time. This process takes about 10-15 minutes.”
When asked about students who are new to the school district or students whose parents may not have been using Parent Portal, Adkins replies, “If your child is a Floyd County Schools’ student but you don’t have a Parent Portal account, you will need to contact the school your child attends to obtain access. If your child is new to Floyd County Schools such as a Kindergarten student or a student who is transferring from another district, you will choose the link for new students and go from there.”
Floyd County Schools asks that each family complete the district 2020-2021 Registration process through Infinite Campus before the start of school on September 8. Online Registration is open now.
Note: You may not use your child’s student login to Infinite Campus Portal for this process. The process must be completed by an Infinite Campus Portal parent/guardian account. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, please contact your child’s school.

Helpful Hints as you are going through the registration module:
v When you begin you will be given a Confirmation Number. Please save this number. If you need to stop and return to the application, this number will be needed to access your saved application.
v To move through each section use the “Next” button. To move from section to section, click on the “Save and Continue” button. Please make sure all information is correct before moving on to a new section.
