During the early morning hours on 8/26/2020 around 8:00AM, Chief of Police Kenny D. Stidham responded to a possible intoxicated person complaint in the Martin community near Advanced Auto Parts. During his investigation, he noticed an individual who appeared to be passed out while in the driver seat of a 2003 Lexus 4DR Maroon. During his investigation, he discovered a crystal like substance in a plastic baggie that appeared to be “METHAMPHETAMINE”. Arrested was Clinton Dale Elliott, Age 39 of Edgewater Road Morehead, KY charged with (1) PUBLIC INTOXICATION (2) POSSESSION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE “METHAMPHETAMINE”… Elliott was lodged in the Floyd County Jail..
