Vehicle pursuit comes to an end in the Langley Community after Floyd County Constables Office District #2 makes two arrests

On September 3, 2020 during the early morning hours at approximately 3:00AM Floyd County Constables Office District #2 Gary Nelson was dispatched to a Loud Music Complaint in the Maytown Community near Front Street.

While talking to the driver of the vehicle the passenger screamed really loud then the vehicle took off towards KY-80, running onto a dirt road before crashing and two subjects taking off on foot into the hills.

Floyd County Constable District #2 Gary Nelson called for Floyd County Sheriff’s K9 for assistance and shortly thereafter the person’s was apprehended by Martin PD, KSP and FCSO Deputy’s

Two people were arrested and lodged in the Floyd Co Jail. The two arrested were as follows:

Thomas E. Shepherd age 46 of Martin, KY charged with: FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND, along with one charge from a outstanding warrant out of Floyd County District Court Charging: RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY U/$10,000.

Second individual arrested was Crystal Rena Layne Shepherd Age 32 of Prestonsburg, KY charged with: RECKLESS DRIVING, OPERATING ON SUSPENDED/REVOKED, NO/EXPIRED KENTUCKY REGISTRATION, NO/EXPIRED REGISTRATION PLATES, FAILURE TO PRODUCE INSURANCE CARD, FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 1ST, FLEEING OR EVADING POLICE, 2ND, & WANTON ENDANGERMENT-1ST DEGREE.
