The Kentucky Transportation Department District 10 posted on Facebook that part of the Mountain Parkway was closed in Powell County.

As of 9:50 PM last night, the eastbound lanes of the Mountain Parkway are back open.

Kentucky State Police confirmed someone was killed in the crash.

Kentucky State Police released the identity of the person killed in a Powell County crash Tuesday afternoon.

Charley Bailey, 30, was standing behind his truck and trailer in the emergency lane when a truck crossed into the lane and hit him.

Bailey died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.

Officials have not released a cause for the incident.
