Dr. Rebecca Mullins of Big Sandy Community & Technical College
recently earned certification as an Apple Teacher. She also became a member of the
Apple Teacher Learning Center, a virtual collaborative learning resource for cutting-
edge remote learning support and augmented reality.

Apple Teacher is a free intensive professional learning program designed to support
and celebrate educators using Apple products to teach and learn. The program enables
educators to build iPad and Mac skills that directly apply to learning modules for
students.

Within the program, Dr. Mullins earned six certifications, including iPad, Pages for iPad, Keynote for iPad, Numbers for iPad, iMovie for iPad, and Garage Band for iPad.

Dr. Sherry Zylka, President/ CEO of BSCTC, stated, “Dr. Mullins’s dedication to her
students and an innovative classroom provides students with the writing skills
necessary to excel in all they pursue, whether they choose work toward their bachelor’s
degree or pursue a technical field.”
