One woman faces a host of charges following an incident in Laurel County this weekend.

Deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office were sent to Park Hills Road following a report of an accident.

When they arrived, they found Angel Calvina Tolan, 34, of Lebanon.

Reports say Tolan could not show proof of insurance and when a tow truck came to remove the car, she jumped in front of it, preventing the truck from leaving.

Deputies say Tolan was also cursing and threatening people who were nearby.

When police took her into custody, they say she headbutted and kicked the windows inside their cruiser.

During the trip to the Laurel County Correctional Center, deputies say Tolan managed to kick out the protective screen in the middle of the seats. We’re told during the walk from the cruiser to the jail, she kicked one of the deputies.

Tolan is charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and third-degree assault against a police officer.
