COVID-19 Case Information as of Wednesday, January 14th, 2021

During his daily update on Wednesday, January 14th Gov. Beshear reported 4,560 new cases of COVID-19. This bring’s Kentucky’s total cases to 313,282, with 249,686 of those cases being lab confirmed and 63,596 are probable.

47 new deaths were reported Wednesday. To see a list of those reported lost to the virus today, click here.

This makes a total of 2,991 Kentuckians lost to the virus. Of the 47 lost on Wednesday 10 of those are probable and only 37 are lab confirmed.

A total of 3,692,243 COVID-19 test have been administered in Kentucky. 3,366,855 were PCR Test, 104,207 were serology test, and 221,181 were antigen test. The positivity rate currently stands at 12.68%.

Currently 1,702 Kentuckians are hospitalized due COVID-19 related symptoms. With 403 in the ICU and 225 on a ventilator.

Top counties with the most positive cases Wednesday were: Jefferson, Oldham, Kenton, Fayette, Daviess and Boone. Each of these counties reported 160 or more new cases; Jefferson County alone reported 664.

On a positve note, at least 39,723 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus.
