Daily Report on COVID-19 in Kentucky by the numbers

As of Wednesday, February 11th, the state of Kentucky reported only 1,914 new cases of COVID-19. This makes a total of 383,032 reported cases of COVID-19 in the commonwealth. 296,748 of those cases have been officially lab confirmed whereas the remaining 86,284 cases are probable.

This makes a total of 4,175 Kentuckians lost to the virus; though 376 of those are probable and only 3,799 have been officially lab confirmed.

A total of 4,235,991 COVID-19 test have been administered in Kentucky. 3,713,640 were PCR Test, 109,485 were serology test, and 412,866 were antigen test. The positivity rate of COVID-19 has now dropped to 7.5%.
Currently 1,191 Kentuckians are hospitalized due COVID-19 related symptoms. 336 Kentuckians are in the ICU and 169 are on a ventilator.

Top counties with the most positive cases, Wednesday, were: Jefferson, Fayette and Kenton. Each of these counties reported 74 or more new cases; Jefferson County alone reported 244.

At least 45,297 (11.83%) Kentuckians have recovered from the virus. The Governor’s office also reports that 475,025 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been received in Kentucky and 389,649 doses have been administered, statewide. Of the 80,925 doses received by the Long-Term Care Facility Program, 75,013 have been administered to long-term care facility residents and staff.
