Larry David Scott, 70 of Whitesburg, KY passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center.
Larry was born on May 18, 1950 in Williamson, WV the son of the late Alex Edward Scott and Vondell Maynard Scott. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Scott; his sister, Vickie Jude and his nephew, Darby Reed.
Before retirement, Larry worked as a coal miner and later as a State Mine Inspector. He was also a member and deacon of the Samaria Primitive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 beginning at 1 PM at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home chapel, with Jeff and Shawn Dotson officiating. Burial will follow at the Scott Cemetery, Hardy, KY, with Larry’s nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
