
Early voting in Kentucky during the 2020 election was a popular option for many, Now, Kentucky may see early voting access open and expand as early as the next election period.
House Bill 574 would make the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before election day early voting days. Ballots would have to be received and counted by the end of election day.
The bill would also allow counties to petition for regional voting centers where residents can vote without regard to precinct.
The bill passed 91-3 in the State House, and 33-3 in the State Senate.
The bill has been sent to the governors desk and awaits a signature or veto.
