Governor Andy Beshear signed an executive order to develop a special task force assigned to addressed the surged of fraudulent unemployment claims across Kentucky. Nationwide, fraudulent claims have lead to $63 billion in fraudulent payments.

The task force appointed by Governor Andy Beshear includes the commissioner for the Kentucky State police, the executive director of the Kentucky Homeland Security, the Security of Kentucky transportation cabinet, the state’s chief information officer, the executive director of the Kentucky office of unemployment insurance.
