A man is facing charges of trafficking meth and marijuana after a traffic stop on April 2nd. 32 year old Phillip Smith was arrested by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, license to be in possession and failure to produce insurance card, trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of weed less than 8 ounces. Police also found $950 in cash on Smith at the time of arrest. Smith was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
