
According to the Martin County Coroner, the remains found in Tomahawk has been identified to be remains from a historical grave site that had been dug up and discarded in the wooded area of the community during a grave looting situation. The investigation is on-going.

Kentucky State Police Investigators have responded to a Martin County home where they located what they believe to be human remains in a wooded area behind a home. This investigation is still in its early phases, and police are still working to connect the dots. The Martin County Coroner will transport the remains to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for possible identification.
