Charles D. “Charlie” Music, age 77 of Auxier, Kentucky went home to be with the lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021. He was born February 3, 1944 in Martin, Kentucky to the late Ben & Inez Reid Music.

Charlie grew up in Auxier and attended Auxier School. He joined the US Army and proudly served his country from 1963 to 1967. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Auxier Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. A member of the Auxier Volunteer Fire Department where he served as chief for 28 years.

Charlie had many talents. He loved working with wood, a great carpenter. He loved writing poetry. His sense of humor was a great part of his personality. He could always make you laugh.

Charlie loved people. He was a loving husband to Pat, loving Dad to Brian and a loving Papaw to Megan. A loving brother and loyal friend, always ready to lend a helping hand. His passing leaves an empty place in our hearts and he will be greatly missed. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, visits, food, flowers, and kind words. Your kind expressions of sympathy are deeply appreciated and gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 4pm at the church

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 12 noon at Auxier Freewill Baptist Church, Auxier, Kentucky with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens, Prestonsburg, Kentucky
