G0vernor Andy Beshear has announced that starting Tuesday, April 27th, that mask mandates will begin relaxing for outdoor events.

During a briefing on Monday, Governor Beshear said that masks will no longer be required for outdoor events that host less than 1,000 people.

Masks will still be required inside public facilities until 2.5 million Kentuckians get vaccinated. At this time, over 1.7 million Kentuckians have gotten at least the first dose of a covid19 vaccine.

The governor also noted that the state’s positivity rate is at the lowest it has been in 4 weeks, currently at 3.15%.
