Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt has said that deputies are searching for Jacob Nathaniel Estep. Sheriff Hunt said Estep walked away from Highlands ARH while being seen in the emergency room. He was taken to the hospital by Floyd County Jail personnel. Estep was last seen on Route 321 on foot and is not believed to be armed or dangerous. Estep’s original charge was for “receiving stolen property and a couple of warrants for failure to appear in court.”
Officers said Estep is now being charged with second-degree escape. Estep has not yet been caught.
