Mary Marie Murphy Evans, age 98, of Lovely, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 31, 2021. Her last days were spent peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving children and family. Marie was born November 11, 1922 in Lawrence Co., KY to the late Everett Murphy and Stella Murphy Murphy. She was the mother of the church and one of the founders of the Oppy Church of God. She loved and cherished her time spent in the church working for God. She was a great prayer warrior and served the Lord for over 75 years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 at 12 PM with Herbert “Butch” Cline of Cleveland, TN and Reverend Bill Evans of Lovely, KY. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery of Lovely, KY. Family visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM and public visitation from 11 AM until the time of services. Arrangements are under the direction of Crum Funeral Home of Inez, KY.
