Pike County Man Jailed After Drug Bust

A Pike County man is in jail after law enforcement agencies in Pike and Floyd counties captured him following several hours of surveillance. Pikeville Police, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and Martin City Police had been investigating 49 year old Walker Rose and had a warrant for his arrest. He was pulled over by Pikeville Police as he left his home by police who were waiting for him nearby. Officers reportedly found a bag of meth in his pocket and around $17,000 in cash hidden behind the driver’s seat of his pickup truck, after he told them it was there. They then searched his house, where they reported finding 100 grams of meth, 20 grams of heroin, a bag of marijuana, multiple pills believed to be Percocet, and a bag of pills believed to be Xanax. He is now being held in the Pike County Detention Center on multiple counts of drug trafficking.
