
On Friday, June 11th, most of Kentucky’s COVID19 restrictions have been lifted.
Businesses and events will now have the ability to increase capacity back to 100%, and masks will not be mandatory by the state other than in public transportation, schools, long term care facilities or other facilities where care is provided for ‘the most vulnerable.’
To date, nearly half of Kentucky’s total population has received at least the first dose of a COVID vaccine, 40% of Kentuckians are fully vaccinated.
Beshear says that he hopes to see that number continue to grow, saying normalcy is near for the state.
Kentucky has been slowly lifting restrictions for the last several months as an attempt to prepare the state for semi-normalcy that has come this summer.
