The Kentucky State Police are currently investigating the death of a Lawrence County man they suspect to be a homicide.

 

This past Tuesday, Kentucky State Police Post 14, in Ashland, received a request for assistance from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. Officials had found a dead man in the Peach Orchard area, near KY RT 2033.

 

Upon their arrival to the scene, troopers and detectives discovered 58-year-old Carl Daniels dead.

 

According to the State Police, evidence at the scene suggested foul play. The preliminary results of an autopsy conducted on Wednesday concluded that Daniels did die by homicide.

 

No more information is known at the time, but the case is under investigation.
