Kentucky State Police Post 9 in Pikeville received a call about an armed robbery on Monday. According to investigators, one man was shot on Sycamore Road and multiple people were attempting to remove property from a home on that same road.

According to officials, one individual fired several shots towards the victim, Bill Thomas, endangering the lives of others within the home, including a seven-month-old baby.

Billy Adkins has been charged with one count of first degree robbery and taken to the Pike County Detention Center. Police are still searching for the others involved in the robbery and say that more arrests are pending.
