Basil L. White 82 of Jenny’s Creek Road, Kermit, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Kings Daughter’s Medical Center of Ashland, KY. He was born on September 13, 1938 in Clay, WV; he was a son of the late Frank Pearl Bragg White. He was preceded in death by his son, David Alexander White and siblings; Midred Tompkins, James Early White, Lois White, and Paul White. Basil was a US Navy Veteran, sailed on the USS Maloy 791, he was a Conveyor Engineer of Merchant Marine Sailor. The most important thing in his life besides his family, was worshipping his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, while being a member of the Lighthouse Community Church of East Kermit, WV.

Visitation for Basil will be conducted on Thursday, August 5, 2021 after 5pm at the Lighthouse Community Church with funeral services being conducted on Friday, August 6, 2021 at 1:00pm at the church with Pastor Keith Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Spaulding Cemetery of Jenny’s Creek, WV. Military rites will be conducted by the DAV Chapter 141 of Belfry, KY.
