Barbara Jean McCarty, age 72 of Meally, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 13, at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville.

Born July 23, 1949 in Floyd County, she was the daughter of the late Jason Brown and Nancy (Meade) Brown.
