William R. “Bill” Pelfrey, age 81 of Paintsville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at his residence. Born December 9, 1939 in Morgan County, he was the son of the late Emerson Pelfrey and Lucy (Smith) Pelfrey.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the First Freewill Baptist Church on Third Street. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville. Friends may visit the church from 5:00pm to 9:00pm Thursday, 10:00am to 9:00pm Friday, and until the time of service on Saturday. Auxier Chapter 18 D.A.V. will conduct Military Honors. Larry Blair and Gary Blair will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
