Sonnie Sowards, age 74, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born on July 10, 1947 to her parents the late Clyde Thomas Adkins and Edith Gray Almond.

Visitation will be Sunday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Monday, August 23, 2021, at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Randy Damron officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sowards Family Cemetery at Shelbiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jubilee Christian Assembly of God in Memory of Sonnie Sowards.
