Man Charged With Tampering With Physical Evidence At Scene Of Death

Troopers with the Kentucky state Police responded to a home in Tomahawk this past Thursday night. The call concerned a possible overdose.

 

Upon their arrival, police found 22-year-old Brooklyn Sloas unresponsive. Sloas was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Police spoke to the man who reported the incident, 43-year-old Kenneth Shoptaw, of Tomahawk, who reportedly told them he had removed syringes from the scene and tossed them over a hill.

 

Shoptaw was arrested and charged with a felony count of tampering with physical evidence.
