William E. “Bill” Kretzer Sr., age 73, passed away in the early morning of September 26th, 2021 at the Veterans Affairs Health Care System in Lexington, KY. He was born November 15th, 1947, in Paintsville, KY to Anna Louise King Kretzer and the late Burdette C. “BB” Kretzer Jr.

Local funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the chapel of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home. Steve Rose will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the Phelps & Son Funeral Home from 5:00-9:00pm. Additional services will be held on Thursday at 12:00pm in Winchester at the Scobee Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of services at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
