A man out of California is now facing federal drug charges after a West Virginia State Trooper allegedly discovered 10lbs of meth hidden in his car last month.

43-year-old Frankie Baker III was pulled over on September 4th in Logan County. The officer stopped him after observing Baker erratically driving a car with faulty equipment. During the stop, the officer noticed evidence of a hidden compartment within the vehicle. The car was towed to a safe location while a search warrant was obtained.

The following day, a search of the car revealed 16 bags of meth and two handguns within the padded wall of the vehicle.

Baker was arrested on drug charges in Logan County, but has now been charged in federal court with possessing meth with the intent to distribute.

He is currently being held at the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden.
