A man was arrested this past Saturday afternoon after he fled from police in a stolen police car.

Troopers with the Kentucky State Police were looking for a stolen Monticello Police Car, when that vehicle was spotted on I-75 near Richmond. An attempt was made to stop the car, but a chase ensued, leading into Fayette County. The driver took exit 104, then attempted to make a u-turn.

A state trooper then used his cruiser to end the chase. The suspect is then said to have left the vehicle and attempted to continue fleeing on foot.

22-year-old Chase A. Jackson, of Monticello, was caught up to by Lexington Police and arrested.

Jackson was charged with reckless driving and fleeing or evading police, among other charges.

He is being held in the Madison County Detention Center.
