Five Arrested On Organized Crime Charges

Five people were arrested this past Thursday on organized crime charges. This, following the police raid of a Lawrence County home, where they uncovered evidence of a large drug trafficking operation.

 

Louisa Police went to the home on Lackey Avenue, and officers say one of the residents, 43-year-old Jonathan Young, ran away as they approached. He was quickly apprehended.

 

Once inside, police discovered a large quantity of meth along with a large amount of cash. Officers also discovered a substance currently believed to be heroin, along with scales, plastic bags, needles, cut straws, and multiple handguns.

 

Young was arrested alongside his girlfriend, 24-year-old Brittany Hammonds, and three other men; 24-year-old Joseph McCoy, 33-year-old John Thomas, and 37-year-old Kenneth Pack II.

 

All were charged with complicity to engage in organized crime.
