Student Arrested After Threatening Other Students

Kentucky State Police Officials were contacted this past Thursday by Bell County High School Officials. The call concerned a possible threat to the school, made by a student.

 

After an investigation, troopers found that a 16-year-old boy had made verbal threats to other students this past Wednesday. The students then reported those threats to staff members at the school.

 

The boy who made the threats was suspended from school that same day. He was arrested in Middlesboro and charged with terroristic threatening.

 

He is currently being held at the Breathitt County Detention Center. According to the Kentucky State Police, this was a controlled incident and no other students are in any danger from this threat.
