A man out of Floyd County was recently indicted on federal gun and drug charges.

 

34-year-old Christopher Mackey, of Garrett, is charged with three counts for distributing meth and two counts of felon in possession of a firearm.

 

He was allegedly discovered with meth on three separate occasions throughout October and November of 2018. He was also discovered to be in possession of two 9mm handguns in October of that same year.

 

The drug charges against him carry a potential 20-year prison sentence. The gun charge carries a potential 10-year prison sentence, if he is convicted.

 

Mackey is currently being held at the Leslie County Jail.
