Troopers with the Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place in Floyd County this past Thursday morning near McDowell.

Few details concerning the case have been released, but troopers say that the incident in question involved a state trooper who shot and killed a man. The identity of the man has not yet been released.
