A search is currently underway for Owsley County Sheriff Brent Lynch, who is being sought after following a fight that took place at a girls’ basketball game.

 

Last week, Owsley County and Perry County Central’s girls’ basketball teams became involved in a fight during the course of their game. Lynch, who is a part of the Owsley County Coaching Staff, is accused of assaulting one of the girls.

 

He is currently charged with fourth-degree assault and officers are still attempting to locate him.

 

Kentucky State Police Post 13, in Hazard, is handling the investigation.
