A man out of Magoffin County has recently entered a guilty plea for the charges he received as a result of Kentucky’s new bestiality law.
35-year-old Willie Wireman, of Royalton, was arrested back in June of this year and was charged with sexual crimes against animals.
A neighbor is said to have complained about Wireman committing bestiality with his dog. An officer who responded to the complaint allegedly caught him in the act.
Sexual crimes against animals are felony offenses and carry a potential prison sentence of between 1 & 5 years in prison. In exchange for his pleading guilty, prosecutors have agreed to recommend only a four-year sentence. He will be sentenced this Thursday.
Wireman is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
