Juvenile Arrested In Deadly House Fire Case

A juvenile is said to now be facing charges following a deadly house fire that took place earlier this week.

 

Officers were called to the fire on Jackson Cemetery Road. According to the caller, smoke and fire were visible. Three people exited the home, but an elderly male was left inside.

 

After firefighters extinguished the fire, an 81-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rowan County Coroner. He was identified as Lloyd J. Riddle.

 

Officials with the Kentucky State Police report that they have now arrested a juvenile, who was charged with murder and first-degree arson in connection to the fire.

 

This case currently remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
