An update from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department:

Deputies investigated an accident earlier today where the driver of one vehicle left the scene prior to their arrival. Deputies deployed K9 “Drago” who tracked the individual for some distance before finding the individual who had submerged himself and hiding in drain /ditch. The individual, 33yr old John R Lowe of Dwale, was arrested and charged with numerous violations including driving on DUI Suspended License, Leaving the Scene of Accident, Failure to Render Aid and was also wanted on a number of charges.
